As a Thanksgiving weekend of college football approached, Alabama appeared to be cruising toward yet another national championship game.

The top-ranked Crimson Tide faced what some fans might have called a challenge with a post-Turkey Day tilt against rival Auburn. Still, most college football analysts gave the Tigers little chance against the two-time defending champion Tide.

A remarkably close game appeared to be headed to overtime, and then the unthinkable happened. Alabama head coach Nick Saban sent his kicker to attempt a lengthy game-winning field goal with only seconds left.

Check out this video to see the uncanny result.

So, what do you think? Is this the greatest ending in college football history?
