Mary Kirby suggests backup transponders on airplanes

If only it were so simple. Mary Kirby, founder of the Runway Girl Network, says that one fix to the kind of communication breakdown that occurred when all contact was lost with Malasia Airlines Flight MH370 is to install backup transponders.

Kirby, whose Runway Girl Network creates a connectivity among flyers worldwide, has plenty of ideas for avoiding this sort of tragedy. Watch her brief CBS interview below and let us know if you think her ideas are brilliant or insane.
