Class Dojo is the popular behavior modification system, used in tens of thousands of classes as a quick feedback tool.

Although Class Dojo has much potential to provide feedback for learning, its primary use is to chart and share student behavior with parents.

The picture above (a screen shot of my own Class Dojo site) demonstrates how the tool might be used for formative assessment, quickly showing students and parents what is happening in the classroom, in terms of learning. I don’t know many teachers who use Class Dojo this way.

So, what do you say about Class Dojo? Do you use it? If so, how?

Most important, is Class Dojo brilliant or is it insane?
