I am a huge proponent of Kidblog for the classroom, so this is a departure from my typical advice for educators about blogging.

In a prior post I explained how to easily add and edit a blog post in WordPress. This video shows amazing new features in the new WordPress.

While Kidblog is easy for young students and allows teachers to create a Learning Management System, WordPress may be a more desirable blogging platform for older students. The vast theme library will give students a sense of autonomy, and the picture and video editor makes it easy to be more creative.

If you are investigating blogging with high school students, give WordPress a try. They may love it and begin writing and publishing more than ever.
