Most teachers in a school like that would love their jobs. Open-minded leaders should be interested in alternative assessment. Why not push for a no-grades classroom?

Tilton’s Law: any regularly scheduled meeting signifies failed communication. They do not work as well as continuous communication and the Gathering itself is a weekly boulder in the stream of work disrupting flow before and after such that much more than the meeting duration itself is lost.

Getting bosses to give up these tangible measures of their dominion might be tough, but yer off to a good start.
